I am seeking to be a Liberal Democrat candidate on the South East regional list in the next European elections in 2009.
I am an old-fashioned politician who likes to meet people face to face but as I can't meet 12,000 Liberal Democrats in the South-East, I have set up this blog. Here you will find information on my experience and my views on the European Union. You can also post questions and comments and I will reply.
Euro-elections notoriously attract a low turnout. I hope our Euro-selection in the South-East will do better. As the title of this blog implies, I believe we must campaign on good news and hope, not simply defend the EU against the fears of the Eurosceptics.
